Human Resource Director

Yavapai Humane Society is looking for a Human Resources Director to oversee all aspects of the HR function. Working as a team of one, this person will oversee the day-to-day requirements of human resources, including recruiting and staffing, performance management and improvement programs, employment law compliance, employee orientation and onboarding, employee training and development, policy development and documentation, employee relations, employee engagement, employee events, employee communications, compensation administration, benefits design, employee safety/welfare/wellness/health, budget oversight, and strategic planning. They will also interface with the Board of Directors on their Compensation Committee. Successful candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Organizational Development or Human Resources, or equivalent experience. We are looking for someone with a minimum of seven years of Human Resources leadership/oversight, preferable with some experience in a non-profit environment. Chief Veterinarian

YHS is looking for a Chief Veterinarian who will oversee the medical treatments of all animals coming under the care of YHS, including those at our Spay/Neuter Clinic. This individual will also hold the premise license for the main shelter. Graduation from a college or university accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Medical Doctor Degree is required as is a minimum five (5) years’ experience as a veterinarian, preferably in a Shelter environment.
